Domestic sorbitol production in November 2025 increased compared to the previous month. According to data from sample companies monitored by Zhuochuang Information, total sorbitol production this month is estimated at approximately 77,500 tons, an increase of 4,500 tons month-on-month. Major companies maintained normal operating rates during the month, with VC-grade sorbitol selling faster than daily chemical-grade, and some companies still maintaining a higher production rate for VC-grade than daily chemical-grade.
The overall operating rate of sorbitol producers increased month-on-month in November. According to data monitored by Zhuochuang Information, the operating rate of sorbitol production in November was 39.28%, an increase of 2.69 percentage points compared to the previous month. Some annual production companies reduced their operating rates, with VC-grade sorbitol selling faster than daily chemical-grade, and some companies still maintaining a higher production rate for VC-grade than daily chemical-grade. It is expected that most companies will resume normal production in December, with a relatively sufficient market supply, and the overall operating rate may increase.
