Calcium carbonate (Calcium Carbonate, CNS No. 13.006, INS No. 170(i)) is a naturally occurring inorganic compound that exists in the form of white fine crystalline powder. It has no smell or taste and is almost insoluble in water. It is not only the main inorganic component of human bones and teeth, but also a widely used multifunctional raw material in the food industry, pharmaceutical health care, and daily chemical fields.
